Truly Great Coffee at the Community’s Café
The Hideaway sits as a welcome center of sorts, greeting folks visiting Winchester’s beautiful Old Town pedestrian walking mall. Located at the intersection of West Cork and South Loudoun (right next to Cork Street Tavern), the café has become the community’s living room.
At Hideaway, we believe that a neighborhood café should be a place where you can always find great conversation, a spot central to the community’s cultural identity, and a place that plays a crucial role as a safe space for anyone and everyone, regardless of race, color, national origin, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, religion, disability, etc.
This comfortable and welcoming café is an ideal setting for grabbing a quick lunch, enjoying time with friends, settling behind a laptop to work, or holding a casual business meeting over some of the best coffee in town.
Come as you are. We'll be happy to see you.
Eat, Drink & Be Merry. You're Among Friends
In addition to offering award-winning coffees and fine teas, Hideaway serves up a variety of sandwiches, pastries, breakfast goods, and more.
Good food doesn’t have to be pretentious. We serve up casual made-to-order food just for you. Working diligently, we ensure every plate offers our guests consistent quality in an environment as comfortable as home.
We have a standard menu with sandwiches, salads, and more, but you never know what our specials will be. We work hard to keep it fresh and interesting, and we hope we will soon count you among our regulars.
When we talk about community, we aren’t just speaking of people who live in the Valley. We believe that we have a responsibly to be good neighbors to all people who share this planet with us, and that is a good part of the reason we partnered with Red Rooster Coffee Roasters to offer beans worth brewing.
These Virginia-based roasters source all of their coffee as responsibly as possible, meaning they use organic and fair trade coffees or they even purchase beans directly (from farmers and traders working in the country of origin.). When the goods arrive, they are processed with approaches that focus on sustainability. Additionally, this family-owned business has worked to become an economic and social anchor in its little rural community. They give back in big ways to local and regional charities, and we are proud to serve their coffees.
Beyond our coffees, we strive to source locally across as many categories as we can, while also using environmentally safe chemicals, and reducing waste whenever possible. Why? Because it matters.
